Olimpiyskiy sports and entertainment complex

The Olimpiyskiy sports complex was built in 1980 for the XXII Moscow Olympic Games. The largest world-class sports and entertainment events, training sessions of the leading national teams of the USSR and Russia were held within its walls. In 2009, Olimpiyskiy became the venue for the international Eurovision Song Contest.

For a long time, the complex remained the largest construction in Europe for sports purposes and one of the leading attractions of Moscow, but has long been in need of repair. In 2017, the object was acquired by the Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies. On January 1, 2019 it was closed for reconstruction.

At the Olimpiyskiy, they will equip a running center, a fitness club, a spa center, cinemas, exhibition spaces, an electronic library, and a medical diagnostic center. Spinning panoramic restaurants will work on the roof.

Reconstruction of the sports complex Olympiyskiy is planned to be completed by 2023
